Florida charter schools must publish their annual budget and independent financial audit on a public website. We keep ours here — open to everyone, no login required.
Horizon Prep Academy is a tuition-free, public K–8 charter school. Since opening in 2014, we have grown into a community of roughly 520 students and the families who support them. Our approach is simple: keep classes manageable, know every student by name, and prepare each child for the next grade and the years beyond.
As a public charter school, we are open to all students and accountable to the public. We publish our finances and governance openly because the families and taxpayers who support this school deserve to see how it is run.
A grade-by-grade program in reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies.
Art, music, physical education, and counseling support woven into the school week.
A manageable enrollment so teachers and staff can know every student.
Open communication with families and a welcoming, accessible front office.
Program descriptions are generic sample content for this demonstration site. No specific test scores or outcomes are claimed.
School at a glance
Florida law requires each charter school to maintain a website that publishes its annual budget and its independent financial (fiscal) audit, and that supports public access to records. Everything below is posted publicly so any family, taxpayer, or member of the public can read it — no account, no gate.

Documents are posted publicly so families and the public can read them at any time, without an account. When a newer budget or audit is issued, it is added here and the effective date is updated, while prior years are retained for the record.
Horizon Prep Academy is governed by a volunteer board of directors that oversees the budget, hires school leadership, and sets policy in public meetings. Names below are fictional samples.
