Authentic Mexican Food from Durango
“Best tortillas around this part of the state.”
Hand-made tortillas, mole & menudo daily · Breakfast, lunch & dinner
Our Story
Margarita “Mague” started cooking with recipes from her hometown of Durango, Mexico. Self-taught and determined, she opened her first cafe in San Antonio in 1984, then relocated to Boerne’s Main Street in 1989. Four decades later, Mague’s is still family-run, still rolling tortillas by hand every morning, and still serving the same recipes that started it all.

“I’ve been eating at Mague’s for the last 15 years, and this is by far the best and most consistent of the bunch. The service is always quick...the prices are extremely reasonable, and the food is consistently good.”

“The food never misses. Whether it’s breakfast or enchiladas, every dish comes out perfect every single time. And don’t even get me started on the baked goods — they are phenomenal.”
