Shop in W-S
A Living Piece of History
Started by C.C. Cranfill and Grady Young. Over 95 years of continuous operation — Winston-Salem’s longest-running shop.
The 1929 hand-cranked cash register is still in use. Come see a genuine piece of American barbering history still at work.
Originally on Hawthorne Rd, the shop relocated to 1102 Burke St in 1973. Owner Matt Long carries on the tradition today.
The Chair Awaits
Traditional barbering as it was meant to be — unhurried, precise, and done right.
The heart of what we do. Precision cuts the old way — unhurried, attentive, and exactly what you asked for. Same craft passed down through generations since 1929.
A hot-lather straight razor shave — the truest mark of a proper barber shop.
Sharp, seamless taper from skin to length. Clean and precise every time.
Sculptured shape and clean lines. A well-kept beard finished by steady hands.
Bold contrast cuts with a defined disconnected look. Modern style, classic execution.
A proper shoe shine to leave looking sharp head to toe — a rarity in modern shops.
